The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has announced the membership of its newly formed National Shipper Advisory Committee.

The committee is comprised of 24 members, evenly divided between those who export cargo from and those who import cargo to the United States, that will advise the FMC on policies relating to the competitiveness, reliability, integrity, and fairness of the international ocean freight delivery system.

Committee members will serve until December 31, 2024.
Importers involve Amazon, Walmart, Office Depot, Target, IKEA, Wayfair, Wine and Spirits Shippers Association, MEMA/Auto Car Association, Brenntag North America, Gemini Shippers Group, Mohawk Logistics, and Tractor Suppl.

Exporters involves Dupont, Tyson, Louis Dreyfus, Ocean Spray Cranberries, Blue Diamond Growers, Cargill, CHS, Mallory Alexander International Logistics, American Commodity, The Scoular, BOSSCO Trading, and A Customs Brokerage.
