According to the latest flash estimate, the Container Throughout Index of RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research and the Institute for Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL) rose by a seasonally-adjusted 1.6 points in July to 125.1 from 123.5 (revised) in the previous month.

The North Range Index, which gives an indication of economic developments in the northern euro area and Germany, had a significant share of the container throughput increase. Compared to the previous month, it increased by 3.3 points in July from the previous month's119.7 (revised) to 123.7, somewhat more than the total index.

Throughout in Chinese ports fell 5 points to 125.6 points compared to 130.6 points registered in June due to delays in cargo handling.
