South Korea traded a total of 321,100 TEUs of containers with eight other countries and territories in Asia in February, which decreased 2.4% year on year from 329,100 TEUs. The route enjoyed an improvement of 9% in January but turned downward last month.
In breakdown, exports from South Korea fell 9.8% to 161,900 TEUs, but imports to South Korea were more favorable, swelling 6.5% to 159,200 TEUs.
In the first two months, 663,600 TEUs were traded on the intra-Asian route, which increased 3.1% from a year earlier.
The eight economies include Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
