The Port of Tokyo handled 3,133,486 TEUs of oceangoing containers in 2020, down 5.4% from the previous calendar year. Exports accounted for 874,534 TEUs, down 6.4%, and imports, 2,258,952 TEUs, down 4.9%. Empty containers totaled 1,128,307 TEUs, down 6.2%. As these figures show, throughput went down from a year earlier in all categories.
