Taiwan’s four major ports handled a total of 218,164 TEUs of containers to and from China in January, which enjoyed a double-digit improvement of 11.45% year on year, according to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) of Taiwan.

By port, Kaohsiung was responsible for 91,138 TEUs, down 2.93%; Keelung, 62,733 TEUs, up 31.93%; Taichung, 50,286 TEUs, up 15.53%; and Taipei, 14,007 TEUs, up 30.3%. As these figures show, double-digit growth was marked at all but Kaohsiung.
