Container throughput at the port of Hong Kong totaled 1.56 million TEUs in October with a slight increase of 0.7% compared to 1.55 million TEUs for October 2019. Kwai Tsing terminals handled 1.25 million TEUs, up 2.6% over the corresponding period in 2019.
For the year-to-date, Hong Kong port processed 14.9 million TEUs, down 2.6% year-on-year. Kwai Tsing terminals handled 11.9 million TEUs, down 0.5% from a year earlier.
