Shanghai port handled 4.2 million TEUs in October, up 15.7% from the same month last year, representing a new record monthly high, according to Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG). The previous record was 3.9 million TEUs achieved in July this year.
During the National Day holidays, container volumes at the port surged 28% year on year.
