The Hong Kong Government has agreed to ease the air draft restriction level at Tsing Ma Bridge to 57 meters from the current 53 meters. The decision has been long awaited by the Hong Kong Liner Shipping Association

The bridge spans the main shipping channel between Hong Kong’s Kwai Chung container port and the Shekou and Chiwan container terminals in western Shenzhen and the only land and rail link connecting the Hong Kong International Airport and other parts of Hong Kong.

The revision has the potential to attract millions of additional containers to Hong Kong.
