The Port of Shimizu in Shizuoka Prefecture has reported container traffic for March of 46,153 TEUs, down 9.6% from the same period last year.
Ocean going containers dropped 10.8% on year to 38,283 TEUs, representing the second consecutive month of double-digit decline. Loaded export containers plunged 13.7% to 14,971 TEUs while loaded import boxes waned 9.8% to 18,686 TEUs. Empties fell 4.7% to 4,6216 TEUs.
