The Shanghai (Export) Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) stood at 968.07 points last week, slightly down by 1.2% compared to the previous week, according to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange.

On February 1, spots rates leveled off at USD960 per TEU on the route from Shanghai to northern Europe, while the Asia-Mediterranean rates edged up 0.5% week on week to USD962 per TEU.

On the transpacific eastbound trades, spot rates from Shanghai to the U.S. west coast decreased 2.3% to USD1,993 per FEU last week while freight rates from Shanghai to the U.S. east coast fell 2.6% to reach $3,054 per FEU.
