The combined volume of containerized shipments handled at Taiwan's Big Four ports in the first seven months (January-July) of 2018 was 8,886,006 TEUs, growing 2.9% year on year, according to statistics compiled by Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Ltd. (TIPC).
Kaohsiung was responsible for 6,070,040 TEUs, up 1.49%; Taichung, 1,002,121 TEUs, up 6.25%; Taipei, 965,369 TEUs, up 6.97% and Keelung, 848,475 TEUs, up 4.84%. Growth was notable at Taichung and Taipei, exceeding the 6% line.
