Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) set container throughput record of 482 million TEUs in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2018, representing a 7% increase over the previous year's 4.50 million TEUs.
Of all terminals in the port, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal (JNPCT) handled 1.482 million TEUs, while APM Terminals Mumbai processed the largest volume of 2.019 million TEUs. Other terminals handled a total of 1.326 million TEUs: Nhava Sheva Terms of Business (India) Gateway Terminal (NSIGT) 0.66 million TEUs; NHAVA SHEVA INTERNATIONAL CONTAINER TERMINAL (NSICT) 0.64 million TEUs; and Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals 22,605 TEUs.
