The Port of Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada, recorded high container throughput of 278,538 TEUs in August, up 20.8% compared to the year-ago period. Loaded imports surged 25.8% year on year to 145,523 TEUs while loaded exports climbed 15.7% to 85,380 TEUs.
From January to August 2016, Canada's busiest container port achieved a total throughput of 2,129,937 TEUs, 10% higher than the volume registered in the same period of 2016.
