The Japan Maritime Center (JMC) announced on Sept. 20 that Japan exported 987,454 tons of containerized shipments to China in July, which increased 8.1% from a year earlier and registered a year-on-year increase for two months in a row. They were valued at \669.7 billion, which surged 17.8% and enjoyed year-on-year growth for the ninth consecutive month.

As for imports from China to Japan, meanwhile, the JMC added that they swelled 3.1% to 1,875,399 tons, which rose 3.1% and marked a year-on-year expansion for five straight months. On a yen scale, they inflated 9.7% to \1.062 trillion.
