Trade ports in China processed a total of 20,728,600 TEUs of containers in July, which increased a favorable 10.2% from a year earlier, according to an announcement made by the nation’s Ministry of Transport (MOT). In breakdown, coastal ports were responsible for 18,442,400 TEUs, which grew 9.4%, while the balance of 2,286,200 TEUs were moved to and from inland river ports, which rose a more notable 17.4%.

In the first seven months (January-July), 135,447,800 TEUs were imported to and exported from China in total, which swelled 8.9% year on year. Coastal ports handled 120,167,100 TEUs, which went up 8%, and inland river ports, the remaining 15,280,700 TEUs, up 16.5%.
