Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Yemen announced on Monday that they were severing diplomatic relations with Qatar, and closed borders with the neighboring country.
As s result, all ocean, air and land transport of export and import goods to and from Qatar has been suspended. Ocean ports and airports would be closed to Qatari vessels and planes.
These economic sanctions led by the Arab coalition represent accusations against Qatar's friendly ties with Hezbollah and Hamas and its alleged support for terrorist organizations including the Islamic State.
