As congestion is escalating at Yangshan Port in Shanghai, shipping companies and freight forwarders have informed customers that there are long delays in cargo transport. The port jam deteriorated steadily from the beginning to the middle of the month, increasing the average delay per vessel to approximately 53 hours during the three days from April 16 to April 18.
