Spanish dockworkers unions led by the State Coordinator of Sea Workers (CETM in Spanish) have called off their scheduled strikes as the parliament failed to give nod to the government's proposed reforms of the nation's dock labor system.

The strikes, which would have involved dockworkers stopping work every other hour, were due to take place in nine days from March 6 through March 24.
