South Korea's bulk carrier Korea Line Corp., owned by Samra Midas (SM) Group., has signed a 37 billion won ($31.45 million) deal to acquire some assets of the now-defunct Hanjin Shipping Co. , including the U.S.-Asia route and related assets, and rehire 574 employees 293 ground workforce as well as 281 overseas staff on the shipping route. The asset sale will be completed on Jan. 5, 2017.
