The Asia West Africa Trade Agreement (AWATA) has recommended its members, on a voluntary, non-biding basis, to implement rate restoration for cargo from Japan to ports in West Africa, effective January 1; March 1; April 1; May 1; and June 1, 2017,each at the rate of US$500 per TEU.
