The Belgian Government is set to implement a nationwide satellite-based truck tolling system with effect from the April 1, 2016.
Trucks that have a gross registered weight over 3.5 tons will have to pay EUR0.074 per kilometer and trucks that are built before 1999 or have a weight over 32 tons will have to pay EUR0.20 per kilometer. Tolls will be charged on all motorways and major roads in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels. These charges will apply to both domestic and foreign trucks.
