Based on International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures - ISPM No.15, the Brazilian Customs and Port Authorities will update their system, introducing wooden packing material as mandatory information, for all cargoes arriving in Brazilian territory, according to Hapag-Lloyd.
Due this regulation and with immediate effect, shippers are required to provide the wooden packing material details for all cargoes destined to Brazil, by the time they submit the Shipping Instruction as follows:
--Wooden package: Not Applicable
--Wooden package: Not Treated and not certified
--Wooden package: Treated and certified
