The China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) stood at 744.44 points on the week ended October 30, 2015, up one point from the previous week, while the Shanghai Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) soared 41.1% on week to 759.00 points, according to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange (SSE).

Spot rates for containerized exports from Shanghai to northern Europe jumped 327.7% to US$988 per TEU in the week, and on the Shanghai to Mediterranean trade, rates achieved a whopping 298.0% rise ended last Friday, due to the seasonal demand increase doubled with carriers' rate hike moves.

On the trans pacific trades, spots rates for shipments bound for the west coast climbed 16.9& to $1,363 per FEU and for those bound for the east coast up 8.8% to $2,354 per FEU.
