Japan exported 115,832 secondhand motor vehicles in March, decreasing 0.03% from the corresponding month of 2014, according to a reported compiled by the International Auto Trade Association (iATA) from trade statistics provided by the Ministry of Finance (MOF). It was the first time in 26 months that a year-on-year decline had been registered, although it was very minute in terms of percentage. From a month earlier, in contrast, throughput soared 20.1%.

The leading destination was the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), which came in second place in March last year. To the Middle East emirates, 13,095 units were exported, increasing 8.9% year on year. Exports to New Zealand improved 17.8% to 12,291 units, which enabled the economy to finish in second. Used automobiles to Myanmar plunged quantitatively, going down 17.7% to 10,728 units. The notable decline made the Southeast Asian nation, which was the most aggressive buyer of secondhand vehicles from Japan a year earlier, fall down to third place.
