Exports from Japan to China declined 7.3% year on year to 11,513,402 tons in 2014, according to a preliminary report unveiled on Feb. 19 by the Japan Maritime Center (JMC). In contrast, imports improved a mild 1.1% to 22,897,772 tons.
The JMC report added that in December last year, shipments from Japan to China decreased 6.9% to 986,041 tons.
