The China Ports and Harbors Association (China Ports) has recently unveiled a list of 2014’s top 20 domestic container ports. The lineup of the eight busiest ports remained unchanged from a year earlier. Yingkou stepped up from 11th to ninth place last year, while Lianyungang fell from ninth to 10th. The top seven handled 10 million TEUs of containers or more, which also remained unchanged from 2013. Shanghai and Shenzhen were the only ports processing 20 million TEUs or more. The twin ports of Ningbo and Zhoushan handled 19.449 million TEUs in total, coming very close to a 20-million-TEU mark.
