China's General Administration of Customs has integrated clearance systems at seven Customs along the Jangjiang River, namely Nanchang, Wuhan, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Quiyang and Kuming, effective December 1, 2014 as part of its efforts to simplify customs procedures and reduce transportation costs in the region.
The pilot customs integration started in Beijing and Tianjin on July 1 , 2014 and expanded to Hebei Province, the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta regions in October.
