The frequency of the rail shuttle between Rotterdam and Munich/Nuremberg is to be increased from four to six trains a week. This is an important connection within the Port Authority's ''Rail Incubator'' project. Rail Incubator, together with market parties, sets up new shuttles or increases the frequency of existing ones.
The shuttle to Southern Germany was started two years ago by European Gateway Services (part of ECT) and TX Logistics, one of Europe's largest rail operators. The frequency was recently increased to 4. EGS/TX and Port of Rotterdam/Rail Incubator plan to raise it further to 6 times a week.
