The port of Singapore handled 30.7 million tons of container cargo in May, up 3.5% from the same month last year and in numbers in terms of twenty feet equivalent, up 4.1% to 2.9 million TEUs, according to the HYPERLINK "http://www.mpa.gov.sg/"Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

In the first five months, the port handled 143.4 million tons of container cargo, up 8.2% year on year or 13.7 million TEUs, up 4.4% on year.
