The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed a grant agreement (G/A) with the Government of Myanmar to provide grant assistance of up to a total of 3.96 billion yen for assistance for the project of E-Customs and National Single Window for Customs Modernization.

Under the project, customs systems will be developed based on technologies of the Nippon Automated Cargo and Port Consolidated System (NACCS) and the Customs Intelligence Database System (CIS), two advanced customs systems developed in Japan, which would shorten the time of customs clearance procedures, thus reducing logistics and governmental administration costs.
