China ports container traffic posted an 8.4% year-on-year increase in throughput nationwide to 16.39 million TEUs. Seaports handled 14.75 million TEUs of containers, up 9.5% from a year earlier while river ports processed 1.64 million TEUs, slightly down by 1.0%.
In the first eight months, Container throughput at Chinese ports totaled 124.52 million TEUs, down 0.1% year on year.
