The 9th Technical Meeting of Northeast Asia Logistics Information Service Network (NEAL-NET) was held in Seoul Korea, from August 12 to 14, 2013 with more than 30 experts and technicians from Japan, China and Korea attended.

At the meeting, the three countries agreed to expand the number of ports which share the dynamic vessel status information service from the current four (Busan, Ningbo, Tokyo and Yokohama) to fourteen, adding Yingkou, Yantai, Weihai, Qingdao, Rizhao, Lianyungang, Kobe, Osaka, Incheon and Gwangyang. The test service will start on November 1, 2013.

They also come to an agreement on expanding the scope of information services to be shared to include container status information and statistical services such as the number of vessels going in and out of each port and export/import cargo volume.

The tenth NEAL-NET Technical Meeting will be held in October or November 2013 in Japan.
