Israel's a new rule in the 24-hour Advanced Manifest Regulation introduced on a trial basis by the nation's Customs on July 1 only applies to cargoes that remain onboard the vessel when calling an Israel port, according to shipping lines sources. This means inbound containers into Israel as well as and transshipment cargoes via Israel ports are exempt from the new regulation.
The trial period will continue until September 8, 2013 and the new rule will be effective on September 9, 2013.
