Shanghai Port saw its container volume waned by 8.1% to 2.01 million TEUs in February compared to 2.19 million TEUs in the same month last year, according to the figures from Shanghai International Port (Group) Co. The decline is attributable to the Spring Festival holidays in early February.
In January, box throughput at the port rose 11.4% from a year earlier, to reach 2.92 million TEUs.
