Global containerized cargo exports climbed 6.9% in December from the previous month to 10,764,400 TEUs, thanks to a surge of exports from Asia, according to the U.K.'s Container Trades Statistics (CTS). The figure represents a five-month high from July.

Exports from Asia rose 11% from November to 3,950,700 TEUs while Asian imports achieved a moderate growth of 6% on Month, to 1,827,300 TEUs.
