Container volume from Asia to Europe declined in November 2012 by 5.9% year on year to approximately 1 million TEUs, according to U.K.-based Container Trades Statistics (CTS).
Containerized dry cargo from Asia to Europe fell 6.5% from the same month last year to 628,150 TEUs. This figure also represents a decline of 3.6% month on month and a decline of about 16% from more than750,000 TEUs registered in the peak months of July and August.
Dry cargo exports from Asia to West Mediterranean also fell by 9.4% year on year. This represents a slight improvement from the 14.4% decline in October and a substantial recovery from the 21% drop in July.
