China's Ministry of Finance and National Development and Reform Commission have announced that customs supervision fees for foreign trade enterprises will be canceled, effective October 1, 2012 in a bid to alleviate their burdens amid depressed export situations and promote steady growth of foreign trade.

The Chinese government will also waive all entry-exit inspection fees and quarantine fees on all outbound and inbound goods, as well as transport vehicles and containers from October 1 to December 31, 2012.

These initiatives are expected to reduce the burden of foreign trade enterprises by about RMB35 billion.

The two departments jointly issued the notice on cancellations and waiving administrative fees related to the import and export in order to implement the requirements of the State Council to promote the steady growth of foreign trade.
