The customs authorities of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus have adopted at the recent meeting of the Joint Board of the Customs Services of the Member States of the Customs Union held in Taganrog, Russia a decision to introduce the advance electronic cargo information for the goods imported to their customs territory by motor transport as from June 17, 2012.

The joint board of the customs services of the Customs Union member states was set up to coordinate cooperation between the customs services, unify the customs legislation and customs regulation.

The information will b e submitted via the website of the Russian Federal Customs Service two hours before planned importation of any goods to the customs border of the Customs Union.
