The Bureau of Customs of the Philippines has announced the mandatory implementation of the electronic - to ? mobile (E2M) Automated Export Documentation System (AEDS) in all sea ports effective June 1, 2012.

Under the new regime, exporters and their authorized representatives including freight forwarders must be duly accredited as bona fide exporters by the relevant government authorities under the Client Profile Registration System (CPRS).

Once the AEDS took effect, manual -electronic duel processing will not be allowed any longer. All export entries are required to be processed electronically through the authorized service providers, namely InterCommerce Network Services, Cargo Data Exchange Center and E-Konek Pilipinas.

Mandatory implementation in all airports will be on August 1,2012. Additional guidelines will be issued prior to the pilot implementation, to be scheduled before August 1, 2012.
