Indonesia's Ministry of Agriculture has postponed the implementation of a new regulation which will restrict imports of 47 kinds of fruits and vegetables to only four designated ports of entry: Tanjung Perak Seaport, Surabaya; Belawan Seaport, Medan; Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta; and and Makassar Seaport. The restriction will now take effect on June 19, 2012 instead of previously announced March 19.

In the past, eight ports have been designated as the entry gates for the import of fruits and vegetables, including the nation's biggest container port, Tanjung Priok.
