More specifically, exports from Japan to Taiwan fell 5.9% from year on year to 18,000 TEUs and to Hong Kong, a more significant 29% to 12,000 TEUs.

Looking at shipments to Southeast Asia, those to Thailand climbed 4.9% to 21,000 TEUs, but containers to other nations in the region were all sluggish, including those to Vietnam plummeting 22.6% to 7,000 TEUs.
