Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) lines will increase US$250 per TEU and $500 per FEU from July 15, 2010 as well as the introduction of a speak season surcharge of $300 per TEU and $600 per FEU, for shipments moving from Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong to Australia, effective august 1, 2010. There will also be another rate increase of $250 per TEU and $500 per FEU, effective September 15 as well as another increase of $250 per TEU and $500 per FEU from October 15.

Asia New Zealand Discussion Agreement (ANZDA) lines also will implement a rate increase of US$250 per TEU and $500 per FEU effective July 15, 2010 and another rate increase of $250 per TEU and $500 per FEU, effective August 15. They will also introduce a peak season surcharge (PSS) of $250 per TEU and $500 per FEU effective September 15. The increases and the PSS will apply for cargo moving from Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to New Zealand.
