The Saudi Port Authority will revise the penalty for any inbound cargo at Riyadh Dry Port which is un-palletized, to SAR 350 (US$94.5) per TEU and SAR 750 (US$202.5) per FEU, effective March 8, 2010.

The Riyadh Dry Port is run by the Saudi Railway Organization (SRO). Penalties imposed on un-palletized freight are charged to either the shipper or consignee and paid to the SRO.

The common gateway water port to Riyadh Dry Port is Damman. Cargo is usually transported to Riyadh Dry Port by rail from Damman.
