The latest KOBC Container Composite Index (KCCI) quoted 1,909 points on Monday, according to Korea Ocean Business Corp. (KOBC). The index declined 1.6% from a week earlier as spot rates for container exports from Busan were fluctuated unfavorably on several trade lanes.

On the main lanes, the individual KCCIs picked up 1.19% to $1,871 per FEU to the U.S. West Coast and 0.83% to $2,923 per FEU to the U.S. East Coast. To Europe and the Mediterranean, on the other hand, the KCCI fell 5.79% to $3,797 per FEU and 2.69% to $2,931 per FEU, respectively.

On the non-main lanes, the KCCIs improved 2.78% to $3,036 per FEU to the west coast of Latin America and 3.52% to $2,439 per FEU to Australia. In contrast, the KCCIs slid 0.12% to $4,027 per FEU to Southern Africa, 0.38% to $2,366 per FEU to the Middle East, 1.15% to $4,293 per FEU to West Africa and 9.68% to $3,685 per FEU to the east coast of Latin America.

In the intra-Asia waters, the KCCIs stayed flat at $50 per FEU to China but waned 0.46% to $218 per FEU to Japan and 1.04% to $947 per FEU to Southeast Asia.
