The Port of Kobe handled 196,474 TEUs of containers in September, up 0.3% year on year, according to preliminary statistics unveiled by the Kobe City Government’s Port and Harbor Bureau. Exports accounted for 105,167 TEUs, up 0.3%, and imports, 91,308 TEUs, up 0.2%.
In the first nine months (January-September), Kobe processed 1.58 million TEUs, down 4.1%, which consisted of 845,888 TEUs of exports, down 3.2%, and 735,466 TEUs of imports, down 5.1%.
