The latest KOBC Container Composite Index (KCCI) remained nearly unchanged from a week earlier at 3,256 points, which declined a minute 0.09%, Korea Ocean Business Corp. (KOBC) announced on Monday.

On the main lanes from Busan, the individual KCCIs stood at 5,068 points to the U.S. West Coast, down 1.57%; 5,704 points to the U.S. East Coast, down 0.96%; 4,095 points to Europe, up 2.15%; and 4,292 points to the Mediterranean, up 4.45%.

On the non-main lanes, the KCCIs increased 2.91% to 2,542 points to the Middle East and 0.3% to 4,364 points to Australia. In contrast, the KCCIs decreased 1.32% to 6,631 points to the east coast of Latin America, 0.3% to 4,351 points to the west coast of Latin America, 2.13% to 5,751 points to Southern Africa and 0.59% to 4,678 points to West Africa.

In the intra-Asia waters, the KCCIs picked up 4.26% to 49 points to China, remained unchanged at 242 points to Japan and fell 0.18% to 1,139 points to Southeast Asia.

KOBC unveils the comprehensive and individual KCCIs for spot rates for container exports from Busan to U.S., Europe and 11 other major destinations that include terminal handling and other charges. The comprehensive index is the weighted average of the 13 individual indices, which reflect container movement and other factors on the 13 trades.
