An LNG-fueled containership operated by CMA CGM made its maiden call at the D-4 container terminal at the Port of Yokohama’s Honmoku Pier yesterday. It is one of the largest containerships that have ever called the pier.

Measuring 366 meters in length and 51 meters in breadth, “CMA CGM Liberty” boasts a container hauling capacity of 14,806 TEUs. It is deployed in the weekly Asia Central South America 1 (ACSA1) service, which is operated in a port-of-call rotation of Shekou, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Buenaventura, Callao, Posorja, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo, Yokohama, Busan and Shekou.
