The composite Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) closed at 655.4 points in Week 13, which improved 0.7% from the previous week, as shipping companies are more strictly control shipping capacity. The composite index have remained on an upward trend for three weeks in a row. On the 21 trade routes of which the Ningbo Shipping Exchange (NBSE) gives indices, there were increases on eight and decreases on the remaining 13. On the routes to major ports on the so-called Maritime Silk Road, the NCFIs were up on those to eight ports and down on those to eight ports.
