Accumulated volume of containerized shipments traded between South Korea and China in January-October amounted to 2,837,705 TEUs in total, which went up 4.92% from the corresponding 10 months of last year, according to statistics compiled by the Yellow Sea Liner Shipping Council (YSLSC). Direct exports and imports accounted for 2,656,505 TEUs, up 7.46%, while the remaining 181,200 TEUs were feeder cargo, which plunged 22.8%.

Freight movement was favorable in both directions, with exports from South Korea to China growing 2.28% to 1,064,997 TEUs and imports from China to South Korea swelling 6.57% to 1,772,708 TEUs.
