Containerized shipments traded between South Korea and Japan amounted to 146,797 TEUs in April, remaining nearly unchanged year on year from 146,767 TEUs, according to the Korea Nearsea Freight Conference (KNFC).

South Korea exported 28,500 TEUs to Japan, down 3%, and imported 28,700 TEUs from Japan, up 9%. The former registered a year-on-year shrinkage for three months in a row since February. Meanwhile, transshipment (T/S) containers moved between the countries fell 2% to 89,600 TEUs in total.
